KIM TAEHYUNG (V) 

     Kim Tae-hyung (Korean: , born December 30, 1995) or better known as V is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a member of the male vocal group BTS, which is managed by Big Hit Music.

     Kim Taehyung was born in Seo District, Daegu, South Korea on December 30, 1995 and grew up in Geochang City. He is the eldest of three children, has two brothers, a brother and a sister. She first wanted to become a professional singer when she entered elementary school and in junior high school she even took saxophone lessons to make her dream come true. V officially became a Big Hit Entertainment trainee after successfully passing the audition in Daegu.

     After graduating from Korean Arts High School in 2014, V continued his education at Global Cyber ​​University.

Thomas Alva Edison 

     Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an inventor and entrepreneur who developed many important tools. The wizard of Menlo Park was one of those who recognized many of the inventions of others and was the first to apply the principles of mass production to the invention process.

     He was born in Milan, Ohio, United States on February 11, 1847. In his childhood in the United States, Edison always got bad grades in school. Therefore his mother dismissed him from school and taught himself at home. At home, little Edison could freely read adult scientific books and began conducting various scientific experiments on his own. At the age of 12 he started working as a seller of newspapers, fruits and confectionery on the train. Then he became a telegraph operator, He moved from one city to another. In New York he was asked to be the head of an important telegraph machine. The machines sent business news to all the leading companies in New York.

     In 1870, he invented a better telegraph machine. The machines could print messages on long paper tapes. The money generated from his invention was enough to set up his own company. In 1874 he moved to Menlo Park, New Jersey. There he set up a large scientific workshop and the first in the world. After that he made many important discoveries. In 1877 he invented the phonograph. In 1879 he succeeded in inventing the electric lamp then he also invented the projector for small films. In 1882 he installed electric lights in the streets and houses one kilometer away in New York City. This is the first time in the world electric lights are used on the streets. In 1890, he founded the General Electric company.

     Edison is seen as one of the most prolific creators of his time, holding a record 1,093 patents to his name. He also helped a lot in the field of defense of the United States government. Some of his researches include: detecting airplanes, destroying periscopes with machine guns, detecting submarines, stopping torpedoes with nets, increasing torpedo strength, camouflage ships, and many more.

Biography text is a text tells about the whole or parts of someone’s life. It encompasses the person’s detailed life events, like where she/he was born, grew up, what has she/he achieved in life or how, and later her/his death.

The function of biography text are : To know a person’s story life, To give information and educate the readers.

Generic Structure of Biography Text : 

Orientation (Introduction) ~ It is the opening paragraph. It gives the readers background information of the person.

Events ~ Event is as chronological order.

Re-Orientation (Closing) ~ It consists of a conclusion or comment of the writer. It tells about the achievement or the contribution of the person.

Language Features of Biography Text :

Simple Past ~ He lived in Puncak Jaya, He worked hard, He refused violence. 

Adjective ~ He was generous, She was beautiful woman, His/her village was very cold.
