Okay today i want to talk to all of you about Caption.

Definition Caption
⤷ Caption text is brief description, heading, or title that identifier or introduces a document, graphic, photograph or table. 
     Caption text is a short piece of text that follows an image, a graph, or other visual media and gives additional description and explanation.
     Well, generally this caption text is found in articles, whether articles on the internet, newspapers, or journals.


Generic structure of caption : 
  • The title
  • The lead section
  • Heading


what is the caption function ? 
⤷ Helping readers or viewers to understand more information that might not be in photos or videos. 

Rule of writing a caption ? 
  • Supply specific information (answering 5W1H question) 
  • User present tense on the first sentence
  • Caption are written in a complete sentence
  • Clearly identify the people and location in the photo
  • Identify the person from left or right


How to a write a caption text ? 
  • Observe the picture or video you will give the caption
  • Find out the massage that will be sent from the picture before you write caption
  • Write sentence or phrase under the picture


Example

  5. Why did the writer write the text? The writer wrote the text because the students of SMAN 70 look so enthusiastic to meet the ministries.
